Inconsistent air conditioning could really use an upgrade!!! Noise insulation issues made for a less than peaceful night's sleep, and a little more attention to room cleanliness would definitely improve comfort!!!

Excellent breakfast options

The hotel's location made it easy to explore the city by foot or use the free public transport pass provided. My room was decent in size, clean, and had all the basic amenities I needed. Breakfast had a wide choice, both hot and cold, which I appreciated. There was a bar that stayed open late, and the atmosphere was pleasant. One downside was the air conditioning. it didn't seem effective enough, as my room stayed warmer than I would have liked. Also, I found the mattresses pushed together uncomfortable. they kept separating during the night. My stay overall left me thinking about some small improvements that could enhance the experience further, but enjoying the city and the hotel's perks made it worthwhile.

Comfortable room, quiet room, with a wonderful garden view that provided a serene atmosphere, along with a delicious breakfast featuring a big variety of fresh products and a convenient transport connection by bus and tram that made exploring the area easy.

The welcoming and friendly staff truly stood out during our one-night family stay. The breakfast selection was impressive, with a great variety of hot and cold items kept well-stocked. The complimentary minibar was a nice touch, and the in-room coffee machine added convenience. However, the lack of more extensive dining options for dinner was a slight downside, as we only had drinks at the bar. Additionally, while the overall experience was excellent, a little more attention to dinner offerings could enhance the stay.

My kids wished for better air conditioning. it was too hot for comfort. A fridge in the room would have also been great for snacks and drinks.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the vibrant city center! The breakfast buffet was a feast for the senses, with something delicious for every palate. And let’s not forget the super-friendly staff! They turned our stay into a nice experience, especially the bartender who always wore a smile!

I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely atmosphere of Essential By Dorint Basel City, especially the comfortable seating areas that make socializing easy for seniors. The staff was accommodating, providing me with helpful tips for nearby restaurants and attractions.

Room service availability in the evening would be great.
